When something is the future, no one tells you that. It just becomes the future no questions asked. Artworks inspire reflection on the enduring narratives that shape our lives. Figure studies must avoid signs of conformity to social roles. Its geometric purity made it especially vulnerable to compromise. Meaningless artworks grease the theoretical wheels.
I never think about the bottom end of the page. It comes soon enough. When you need to hype up something, it's not the future.
